Artsy Fartsy Stuff - Mom's Paintings

Mom doesn't talk about it very often on here, but she does pet portraits. Thought we would share a few that were done over the past several months.

This beautiful girl is Ellie. She went to the Rainbow Bridge recently, and this portrait was done in her memory. Her brother Tucker is a studly Dane.
This is another memorial portrait.
This is Elvis.
And a Shih Tzu named Bess.
Yorkie.. These were specially made out of soda cans for an event.
Frenchie named Clementine. She is also at the Rainbow Bridge.
Senior Golden Retriever named Dusty...RIP dear furiend.
Finally..the young pup Rocky. He is a brand new member of our pal's family.

Sorry, the pictures aren't all that great. All of these are mini portraits, 4x5". Check out Mom's Etsy page for more info.

Note from Mom: It is truly a joy to paint beloved pets for people, particularly the memorial portraits. These may not hang in a gallery, but it is really rewarding to help capture the memory of a pet that is no longer with us.

'Scuse Me......I Fluffed

Kitty here. See this cute kid? She comes over every now and then to play with me. She's pretty much the President of my fan club. I like her a lot beclaws she lets me lick and lick and lick her face..I even clean her teeth for free (she smells like cookies).
It works out for both of us.
Uh oh, they are picking me up. This could end badly...
See that funny look on my face? Yeah.....the kid is kind of squeezing my tummy, and I just ate a bowl of kibble.
PPPFFFFFT! I fluffed on her. If you don't know, fluffed is a nice, Southern way to say you farted. Yep, I'm kind of smiling about it. It was pretty funny. Right after this picture was taken, she said in five year old kid voice "Moooooooom, Kitty just made a stink!".

Forgotten Pics of Boston Cutie Pals at Pugfest!

Listen, small fry, you look like my sis and all, but I ain't sharing my treats.

Hello there young gun..what are you, like, two weeks old?
Funny enough, he was all over me instead of Kitty. Guess my girly pug charm was turned up on high or something.
We met these two Bosties at Pugfest in Atlanta. Kitty was a ninny baby as usual and hid behind Mom.
Golly bum she was cute. Now Mom is all gaga over getting a white-faced Boston. She was tiny too..about 11 lbs fully grown.
Oh Crap...there go the treats!!!!!!!!!!!! Dang you ridiculously cute Bostons! I hate sharing.

We totally had fun though. If any of you pups live in or around the Atlanta, Georgia area you should really go next year. Hosted by SEPRA.

My Guy's in a Cone!! Pawrayers needed..

Swisher you still look sexy!!!! You can rock any accessory.

Lord..Please help my special guy Swisher. His eyeball is acting up, and I want him to be all better.
Please send him some prayer, juju, whatever you got'. My sister has the eye sickies (Glaucoma in one eye), and it ain't no joke. Swisher's mom says the Vet thinks it is a scratch, but it hasn't gotten better like they were hoping. That means cone of shame for him and some vet bills out the wazoo.
Swish, tell me if I need to rough talk your wayward eyeball. I will, you know.
Ok, you KNOW you are special to me if I am posting this humiliating pic of me in the Dracula cone of shame. Mom wanted to "test" out what size we would need just in case..what a load of crap.

Get well Pug sugars to you Swisher!!!

Award Time..Doesn't it make you feel special?

Just throwing this in to remind you of our attitudey-cuteness. Back to the point.

Liebster means "dearest" in German, and the award is intended to help up-and-coming blogs get the attention they deserve. As with any award there is a bit of ceremony involved. In order to accept the award we must do the following:1. Copy and paste the award on our blog. 2. Link back to the blogger who gave you the award.3. Pick our five favorite blogs, with less than 200 followers and leave a comment on their blog to let them know they have received the award.4. Hope that the five blogs chosen will keep spreading the love and pass it on to five more blogs.

Check it out ya'll (I've decided to start using this slang term as I am Southern), We received a lovely award from our new pal Nola! She is a pretty (and quite funny) Dachshund just in case you are wondering. Boy..Dachshund is hard to spell! Anyway, we really like this award because it gives some recogition out there to blogs who should totally have lots of followers. It was hard to pick just five because there are so many out there that we enjoy.

1. Prettie Little Pittie - She is very pretty, and a great example of pitties who go against the ridiculous sterotypes out there.

2. Buddy's Blog - Black Pug. You had us there, but he is also very funny and is Boston Terrier friendly. No we are not biased in any way :)

3. The Adventures of the Tank - This puggle is a great furiend that lives across the pond. He has lots of nice, scenic, outdoor adventures and loves his Mom. You won't be disappointed with Frank.

4. A Day in the Life of Pugs - Wow, these four are PRO's at taking awesome group photo's. Love love love their festive attire for every holiday.

5. Talk to the Paw - We cannot believe these two boys haven't hit 200 followers. Ok, so we do have to admit that these are our special boy pals. We are sweet on one another, and they dote on us with fabulous presents (paws off, ladies out there). Oakley and Swisher are super funny.

Hope everyone can take a minute to stop by and visit all of my pals! And a special thanks to all who visit our blog and make comments. We get a huge kick out of the funny things you guys say.

Getting my Doga on

Here I am doing my daily doga. Gotta shed my holiday weight you know.
I like to do doga (dog yoga) while chewing my chocolate nylabone.
Don't forget to stretch..you might pull something.
You have to be watchful of annoying sisters who try to swoop in and steal your toy.. Go ahead Coco, you will pull back a nub.
And finally, make sure your form is just right. Downward chewing dog.

Hope you don't mind a little eye candy boys! Thank you for all of our pawsome stuff. Please thank your mom for us also.

Happy New Year to all of our Blogger Pals!

We partied hard while Mom and Dad were asleep. Old timers.
