Kitty is NOT a Morning Dog..

Mom here. Know what I hear as I'm getting ready early this morning? That would be a dog fight. Now don't get excited, no one got hurt, but it was a clash of the titans to be sure. What a way to start the day. Good grief.

From the bathroom, I hear........

Coco: Urf, rahr, grr...Pawing Kitty, deep under the covers saying "Sister you are such a bed hog, let me in and snuggle with your brindle butt".

Kitty: (angry warning barks) RARR, Rarrh, Grrrr..rrrrrrrrrrrrr, saying "Dang it, I'm sleeping and you are about to get it! Go away".

Coco proceeds to Level 2: Jumping on top of Kitty repeatedly like a spaz to draw her out.

Kitty: RARRRRRRHHHH, RUFF, RUFF, GRRRRRRRRRRR (major ugly face), saying "That is it!! I'm opening a can of Whoop A on you. You better run and hide behind Momma you little smush face."

Next thing I hear is a tumble of bodies on the bed. WWE Smackdown style. In Kitty's defense, Coco had pushed her too far. We all know Kitty isn't a morning dog. In Coco's defense, Kitty shouldn't be such a bed hog grouch. Coco ended up retreating to the dog bed on the couch.

Kitty=1, Coco=0

Who out there is a morning dog or not?? Just curious.

I am SO about the morning. Sometimes I cannot wait for the morning so I try to wake my Mommy up at 3 am. She says NO WAY so I wait until 4. . . 4:15 . . . 4:30 . . . 4:45
Then she gets up.

Hi Kitty and Coco,
I will certainly waste no time getting up for food, but otherwise, I prefer to sleep in until at least 9:30. But I'm not really a grouch about it, but rather a sack of potatoes.
Love,
Payton
PS. I got to see your mom's painting of Salinger in person and it is even more fabulous to see up close! So talented!

Payton, Mom says thank you for the compliment! Sal is one handsome devil isn't he?

Yeah, I should mention that we wake mom up at least once super early in the morning (anywhere from 2:30-6am) to go outside. Then we snuggle back in for some major snoring. Mom has to DRAG Kitty out of bed when she leaves for work. hehe. I'm not even sure if a whole steak could get Kitty out of bed.

Ohhhh, Coco...I have learned NOT to mess with Brudder Ranger in the morning. He is NOT a morning dog at ALL. I don't get it, do you? I just LUVS the mornings!

Hi Kitty and Cocoa, I'm definitely NOT a morning dog. I will get up slowly to eat, but retreat back under the covers quickly and like hu-dad to join me on the weekends!
Mack is up and at 'em in 5 seconds or less. It's amazing!

Enjoy your sleepy time!

Zoe almost always stays in bed long after the rest of us get up. She hates me when I make her get up by 6:00 (during the week) but she would be upset if she missed breakfast!

Hmmmmm, well, let's say I like to lounge around in the AM and get up when I am good and ready. Sluggo likes to lay across Mom's chest and give her his best seductive stares to keep her in bed as long as possible. Brigitte just bounces up, happy and ready to roll. None of us is too cranky though.

oh, yeah! Deedee likes to start the mornings with bouncing WWF on whoever is closest, be it a sister pug or her mama's face...

You've always got to have one of each, don't you? Natty is like Noodles: "Is it morning yet? Is it morning yet? Is it morning NOW???" Klausie is the smushiest little snuggle bunny in the morning. He prefers just to laze and cuddle until, at Natty's insistence, I have to drag his pugbutt out of bed. (I'd prefer to stay and snuggle with him too, but miss Natty needs immediate outies...otherwise, she can't be trusted!) What's a pugmom to do?

Kitty better never stay the night with us. As soon as Mom rustles to get up, we are full-steam ahead! But the good thing is if she hits snooze until noon - well, we don't argue. We'll stay snuggled with her all day! My former foster brother Louie though just HAD to get up in the morning and act crazy and boy was he a pest.

Later!
