This here is my furiend Sophie. Her mom and my mom have been pals since Kindergarten. Sophie and I have recently become good pug pals.
Sophie is a fun loving gal. She has the cutest smiley face you will ever see, and loooooooves to roll over on her back for a nice tummy rub and scritchin'.
Though you would never know it, Sophie has had some major health problems in her four years. She had a liver shunt, and had to have MAJOR surgery plus lots and lots of treatments. Her mom spent two weeks in a hotel in another city for the surgery far away to give her the best medical care possible, and that is not counting the many doctor's appointments. She pulled through and has been doing well. Happy and playing her heart out, despite a very strict diet and medication regimen. You can even read about it here: livershunt.net (under Sophie on the left side bar).
A week and a half ago her mom discovered a lump on her underbelly. A few trips and a round of antibiotics later she has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Why friends??? Doesn't seem fair. Her mum is pregnant and is very stressed and very sad that this is happening to her miracle pug. The fact is that the stress of her pug baby being sick is starting to affect her two-legger baby as well. I wish there was something, anything we could do for her.
Just wanted to share this in hopes that you will send up some serious prayers for this family, and maybe even some cash to help cover Sophie's medical costs. We don't ask fur much on here, and normally we keep it very light-hearted, but this time we need some help from our friends.
Thanks,
Coco

Oh Coco! I am sending lots of prayers and good juju to Sophie. She's a miracle pug so she will pull through. I don't know why these things happen but I think it's to prove how strong us pugs are. Keep your chin up and keep thinking positive thoughts.
Tiffy

That is so sad, Coco. We wish we could wave a magic wand and make Sophie all better. We will invoke the power of the paw, cross our paws, and have Mom say some prayers for Sophie and her mom.

Oh goodness, I don't like hearing things like this. And unfortunately, my parents know all about this kind of stress. We will definately pray for Sophie and her family. Like Tiffy said, us pugs are pretty tough so I know she'll fight this thing! I would be happy to donate money too, so please email me (address on my profile page) where I should mail a check. I know every little bit helps.
Love,
Payton
Oh girls,
I am so sorry to hear this terrible news about your friend Sophie. I really wish I could explain why these things happen, but I just don't understand it. Surely Sophie and her people don't deserve such a thing and we all will be sending the power of the paw her way. I am going to read about her story now.
Dear Coco
I am sending all my positive thoughts and healing wishes to Sophie. Me and my moms are also sending prayers.
I know it is not fair, and I wish we could stop the boo boo's from coming into our lives..
Sophie is not alone.. we are all circling around her and her mom with love.... we care.

Oh gosh, I am so sad for them. I am sending lots healing thoughts and prayers to Sophie and her family.
Your pal, Pip
We have an ebook on dog cancer. Mom got it for our foster brother Quincy. We'd be happy to send it you for Sophie. It goes into detail on what you can do. For mom, knowing as much as she could made her feel more in control. The book gives you food recipes for different kinds of cancer and ideas for supplements and stuff you can do at home.
Your friend should check with any vet schools locally that might have drug studies going on.
We will send our prayers.
Many prayers are being said for this sweet puggy and her momma.

Hanklin, you can donate by going to the Chip-In gadget on the upper right side of my blog. Let me know if you have any trouble with it. I will be sending Sophie's mom whatever money I collect once a week.
Thank you so much!
Hey, the email keeps getting bounced back. Email allramsey at verizon dot net so we can just reply.
Southern Fried Pugs - Well Crap! I emailed you and it wouldn't work. Could you try again but this time to paulbethany916(at)yahoo(dot)com . It will go directly to Sophie and her momma.
Thanks!
Pee.S. If you need to email me, it is kittypluscoco(at)gmail(dot)com . Like a dummy, I forgot the "y" and that you have to spell out "plus" when I gave it to you earlier.
Oh no! We will be thinking lots about Sophie and her mom & dad and hoping for the best! Sophie's mom was so nice to my mom when they compared liver shunt stories before Vinny had his surgery. Oh we are so sad! Mom will have to drop her an email. Surely Miss Sophie the Miracle has another miracle left in her!
Later!
Vito
